Expertise and experience of the participating organisation

The Ulm group has worked on cavity QED problems for the last 10 years and has a considerable experience with the theoretical description of atoms in cavities. In particular, in the area of preparation and measurement of field states the group has provided the method of quantum state engineering and quantum state endoscopy. Moreover, the group has recently investigated several continuous variables schemes for the processing of quantum information.
