Thanks to the generous financial support from the Leverhulme trust, Visiting Professor Rodney Priestley (Princeton University) delivered a series of six Soft Matter lectures in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, in June and July 2017. The lectures were open to all and recorded (links below), and stimulated discussions between academic staff and graduate students.

27 June 2017. Fluorescence enables local nanoscale measurements of confined polymers (lecture 4)

Matrix Assisted Pulsed Laser Evaporation (MAPLE) of Polymer Thin Films
11 July 2017. Basics of MAPLE; simultaneous film growth and crystallization polymers (lecture 5)
13 July 2017. Introduction to recent discovery of stable glasses (lecture 6)

In addition, Rod participated in two discussions on diversity and inclusion in engineering, sharing his experiences as a student, researcher and professor, and now director of graduate studies at Princeton Chemical and Biological Engineering.
