EXCITING developments in the study of tropical medicine, and a potential vaccine against parasitic diseases, the Leishmaniases, were the subjects of the inaugural lecture delivered by Deborah Smith, professor of molecular parasitology on 15 May in the Clore Lecture Theatre.
