Crystal clear: researchers from around the world will meet at Imperial College on 17 December to focus on recent results in solving structures of membrane proteins. The cytochrome bc1 complex, pictured above, is found in mitochondria of the cow heart, a membrane protein essential for the oxygen respiration of heart cells.
