  • September 15 - Tomos Thomas presents work on the absorption coefficient of dilute nitride materials at the EU-PVSEC conference in Hamburg, Germany.
  • September 15 - The QPV group host the 2015 HEMP workshop.
  • June 15 - Alex Mellor, Tomos Thomas & José Videira attend the IEEE PVSC 42 conference in New Orleans, with Alex and José giving oral presentations and Tom presenting a poster.
  • April 15 - Thomas Wilson presents on optimising anti-reflection coatings for quad-junction solar cells at the PVSAT-11 conference.
  • December 14 - Congratulations to Chris Emmott for receiving an award for his documentary on renewable energy in Nepal.
  • December 14 - Congratulations to Roland Piper for being awarded his PhD!
  • November 14 - Diego Alonso Alvarez, James Dimmock, Tomos Thomas and José Videira give poster and oral presentations at the 6th World Conference on PV Energy Conversion in Kyoto, Japan. Congratulations to Tomos and James for winning Best Paper awards in their areas. 
  • November 14 - Congratulations to Megumi Yoshida for being awarded her PhD! She will remain with the QPV group as a postdoctoral researcher.

  • June 14 - Diego Alonso Alvarez, James Dimmock, Tomos Thomas and José Videira give poster and oral presentations at IEEE PVSC 40 conference in Denver, Colorado.
  • June 14 - Congratulations to Kan-Hua Lee for being awarded his PhD! He will move to a postdoctoral position at the Toyota Technological Institute, Japan.

  • Oct 13 - Plenary presentation at the 28th European Photovoltaic Conference and Exhibition delivered by Nic Hylton on the use of nanostructured metals to enhance absorption in solar cells. Chris Emmott presents his work on The Carbon Consequences of a Rapid Move to Renewables: the Role of Emerging PV Technologies.
  • June 13 - Plenary presentation at IEEE Photovoltaics Specialists conference, Florida delivered by Ned Ekins-Daukes on Routes to High Efficiency Photovolatic Power Conversion.  Megumi Yoshida deliveres a special invited presentation on Photon Rachet Intermediate band solar cells.  Nic Hylton presents work on nanostructured metals to enhance PV device performance.
  • April 13 - Markus Fuhrer and Kan-Hua Lee present their work at CPV-9 on "CPV Modelling With Solcore:" and "Multiple quantum well top cell and its application in dual-junction solar cells"
  • April 13 - Tomos Thomas and David Kirkpatrick present their work on Pathways to 50% PV Conversion and Heat generation in solar cells respectively at PVSAT-9, held in Swansea.
  • Feb 13 - Ned Ekins-Daukes presents the QPV group's work at Photonics West, San Francisco.
