Altmetric is a tool that can help identify online activity in order to demonstrate research impact. College users have access to Altmetric Explorer, a database for searching and analysing Altmetric activity.

A representative from Altmetric hosted an introductory session on campus titled ‘Data Insights and uses at Imperial College London’. This session comprised of an introduction to the tool, suggestions of how Altmetric data could be applied practically to demonstrate research impact and a live demonstration.
