The Imperial College Cell Club

The purpose of The Cell Club is to provide a forum for researchers at all levels with an interest in Cell Biology in its broadest sense. It aims to stimulate interactions between researchers that will enhance their intellectual and technical experience and lead to new research and funding opportunities. Efforts will be made to cross traditional boundaries and to include researchers from different disciplines i.e. biologists, physicists, chemists and clinicians.

The Cell Club was founded in 2002 by Prof Colin Hopkins, Prof Tony Magee, Prof David Holden and Dr Vania Braga. The current organising committee aims to establish a comprehensive database of researchers interested in Cell Biology and provide a forum for integration of activities and discussions on different topics. In order to maintain a steady flow of fresh ideas and energy, we encourage a healthy turnover of the membership of the Committee, being especially open to younger colleagues.

The intention of our activities is not to duplicate efforts made elsewhere, but to give added value with a number of novel vehicles. As well as scientific sessions held throughout the year, there are refreshments provided afterwards and social interaction is encouraged.

We specifically welcome your suggestions for future Cell Club activities.
