Welcome to the CMTH website

Find out about our Research.

We are inviting applications from UK/EU students for 3.5-yr PhD studentships in condensed matter theory. Please apply online.

This includes studentships funded by EPSRC in the Centre for Doctoral Training in Theory and Simulation of Materials. The CDT meets the national and international need for mathematically strong physical scientists and engineers with advanced skills in TSM. The aim of the DTC is to train a new generation of postgraduates to carry out cutting-edge multi-disciplinary research. The central theme is bridging length and time scales which poses some of the most challenging problems faced in industrial and academic research.
