The group has an active experimental programme embracing the CMS and LHC-B experiments at LHC, the DØ experiment at the Tevatron, the BABAR experiment at SLAC and the ZEUS experiment at HERA. The group is one of the leaders in the UK R & D programme, which will lead to a future neutrino factory and is planning participation in one of the neutrino 'superbeam' experiments. Within the group, there is a strong tradition of detector development and construction, which has led to key activities in the above experiments. These now extend to prototypes for the electromagnetic calorimeter appropriate for a future linear collider detector. The Group is also active in Grid computing developments. Further details of the group's programme may be found on: http://www.imperial.ac.uk/research/hep
Periodically the group has vacancies for Research Associate positions of one or two years initial duration. Salary, depending on qualifications and experience, is currently in the range £24,570 - £35,800 including London allowance.
