Optics Section - Imperial College London

Welcome to the Optics Section of Imperial College London. The Section has been running since 1917, and is supported by two research groups Photonics and Quantum Optics & Laser Science (QOLS).

The Section provides teaching in optics and photonics through our twelve-month full-time MSc course which is supported by the EPSRC and leading UK and international optics and photonics companies, to provide opportunities for trained personnel at the leading edge of 21st Century science and technology. It also has an active OSA Student Chapter.

The section receives support from the administrative office, workshop and Optics Advisory Committee.
