Since 1980s, the Femtosecond Optics Group has pioneered in the research of Raman gain in optical fibres and doped optical fibre amplifiers.
Today, our research is targeted at Raman amplifiers and sources at 1300 and 1550nm with ongoing work at expanding the telecomunications windows to other wavelength ranges.
