Donating to SCI from the US with tax relief
Donating to SCI through Imperial College London's online payment facility will not allow US citizens to claim tax relief. In order to make a tax deductable donation from the US please select from one of the following options:
Imperial College Foundation, Inc.
United States tax payers can make a tax deductable donation to the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative at Imperial College (SCI) through the Imperial College Foundation (EIN: 581813092), which is a US tax exempt organisation (IRS code 501(c)(3)). This means that donors to the Imperial College Foundation, Inc. can claim back from the IRS the tax they have already paid on their donation.
How to make a donation through Imperial College Foundation, Inc.
- Online - you can give directly and/or set up a recurring gift online using the secure online payment form. Please insert "SCI, Prof Alan Fenwick" in the section 'Program' "Enter a description below of how you would like your donation to be used".
- By cheque - please make your cheque payable to 'Imperial College Foundation, Inc.' and include a note specifying that your donation is to SCI at Imperial College. Cheques should be posted to: Imperial College Foundation, Inc., PO Box 80526, Atlanta, GA 30366-0526, USA
Givewell (which is a 501(c)(3)) has generously offered to process online donations in the US destined for SCI on our behalf. All online donations to SCI through the GiveWell online payment facility will be tax deductable in the USA.
