Welcome to Imperial Leagues

Dates

All leagues kick off on the week commencing 6 May.

Imperial Leagues provides a platform for students and staff to come and play a range of sports in a competitive, yet sociable, organised manner. Without the pressure of BUCS, Imperial Leagues is open to all abilities! Registration forms will be sent around to club emails, Yammer, and our Instagram page closer to the start of term.

How to join

To join, a £10 Imperial Athletes membership is required and then the Imperial League membership is free. You can then download the free Imperial Leagues product for whichever sport(s) you’ll be participating in – all available on the Imperial College Union shop. If you need more details, please email our Sports Administrator: n.murkett@imperial.ac.uk  

You can enter with course friends, housemates, colleagues, a club team or even as an individual and we will strive to find you a team. If you want to get involved in officiating or organising our leagues, there are opportunities available so please contact us.

Where? Ethos Sports Centre
When? Mondays, 12:00-13:00

  • League format (details will be explained in the first couple of sessions)

Women's 5-a-side

Where? Ethos Sports Centre, Sports Hall 
When? Wednesdays, 13:00-15:00

Badminton

Where? Ethos Sports Centre, Sports Hall 
When? Thursdays, 12:00-14:00

5-a-side Football (Indoor)

Where? Ethos Sports Centre, Sports Hall 
When? Fridays, 12:00-14:00

  • League of 8-12
  • League format with an end of season tournament
  • Futsal rules
  • Teams of 5

5-a-side Football (Outdoor)

Where? Park Sports, Hyde Park
When? Fridays, 17:00-19:00 

  • League of 8-12
  • Longer matches
  • Teams of 5
  • Futsal rules
  • League format with an end of season tournament (top 3 teams join Indoor Tournament)
