To work effectively as a team you need agreement on exactly what sort of team you are: what are the goals, what each member's role is, and who needs to work closely with whom. Sometimes it can simply be learning more about the people you work with, and sometimes it can be a little more challenging, working through difficulties within the team or defining how a long-distance team communicates.

The LDC can work with you to design a tailor-made team-building event or programme which will allow the team to address problems, put forward new ideas, plan the future, look at the team’s 'purpose', 'vision' and 'mission' and learn more about each other as people. Team members can gain a fresh perspective, achieve a sense of focus, and build confidence and effectiveness both as a team and as individuals, which can immediately transfer to the workplace.

Each team building event is created from a specific brief and is tailor-made by working closely with team leader and team members to ensure the most appropriate programme. Approaches can include discussion, game play, role play and goal setting. We often use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator to explore team members’ psychological preferences, and the impact of these on their colleagues.
