Workshop 3 – Presentation skills for professional registration
This half-day workshop will be led by an external facilitator with extensive experience of Imperial and our technical staff. It will cover both written and verbal presentation skills. Course participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their abilities, skills and experience to generate useful written copy for the competence report.
In a supportive environment, working in both small and large groups, they will identify key elements of their contribution and performance and describe these in a positive manner backed by concrete examples. They will then practice writing clearly and succinctly about themselves and each other.
By the end of the session, each participant will have produced a text that can form the basis for a self-description tailored to the needs of a professional registration or job application, an interview or any opportunity to make a good first impression.
