What is Panopto?
Panopto is used to record lectures, events and learning resources at Imperial College.
It allows for the simultaneous capture and viewing of audio, video and software applications (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint). These recordings can then be shared in a variety of ways with staff and students during or after the presentation.
Recordings are made through equipment in many rooms and lecture theatres across Imperial’s different campus locations or through a personal device.
For more information go to the Imperial College Panopto Site.
By the end of the session you will know how to:
- Install the Panopto Personal Recorder
- Make recordings with Panopto using the Personal Recorder
- Organise and edit Panopto recordings
- Manage and share Panopto recordings and folders
Who should attend
All staff members who are interested in using Panopto or improving their Panopto skill set.
Please note, this session does not cover training for the Videographer role and making Scheduled Recordings in Panopto. Please contact the ICT Service Desk for more information on Videographer Training.
