Who should attend

Nominated staff on all College campuses who may need to contain a situation before referring to the Health Centre or Accident and Emergency as appropriate.
This qualification lasts for 3 years after which you should attend this course again to re-qualify.
During this 3 year period, it is highly recommended that you attend the course First Aid Refresher + AED to practice your skills at least 18 months before your qualification expires.

Further information

EFAW is now an OFQUAL Level 2 qualification. Skills on the course are examined continuously by the trainer. There is also a multiple choice test set by the national body. Staff attending should have good English language skills in order to pass this exam.
It is the responsibility of individuals to ensure that they re-qualify before their Certificates expire.
Participants should be physically able to take part in these sessions and dress appropriately.
