Who should attend
All staff who lead on health and safety management or have an appointed safety role: Faculty Safety Manager; Faculty Safety Adviser; Faculty Safety Officer, Departmental Safety Officer and Section Safety Co-ordinator will be funded by the LDC as per the terms of the learning agreement. If you have a development need than you should seek sponsorship from your department or apply for the study loan scheme from LDC.
LDC are working with a partner organisation RRC International in offering NEBOSH NGC and utilising their e-learning tool which has been successfully applied at the College. The LDC safety webpage contains many relevant short courses which candidates should attend first
NEBOSH NGC consists of three units:
- Management of Health and Safety (NGC1)
- Controlling workplace hazards (GC2)
- Health and safety practical application (GC3)

The modular design of the NEBOSH NGC e-learning allows registration for national sittings in and Dec., March, June, Sep. every year.
Candidates can take a Unit at a time e.g. for NGC 1 leading to the Dec 2018 examination and then GC2/ GC 3 the following year.
Candidates should aim to complete within a year.
