The EYEC as a team have won the Imperial College President’s award for Excellence in Culture Community, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. This is a huge achievement for our nursery as we strive to provide all children and their families with the best care and support we can offer. The award celebrates outstanding dedication to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the nursery. In particular the team is recognised for ‘working tirelessly to create a truly inclusive environment and address any particular difficult challenges and barriers to support children with disabilities’.  The president goes on to say that ‘the teams actions epitomise the excellence, values and impact Imperial is known for’.

Here at EYEC we have a Special Education Needs and disabilities team complete with skills and experience who work closely with families and outside agencies. They are here to support children with varying needs, this includes specific disabilities such as Down syndrome and Autism to support with their communication, sensory, physical, cognitive and social interactions. The team also care for children with health issues such as severe allergies and diabetes.
