Thumbnail block - sidebar
A Thumbnail block alows you to display a small image with accompanying text within a page's Sidebar; just like the one on this page. The whole item can act as a hyperlink to another page or site. It can be added to any page that has the Sidebar enabled.

Give it a try
1. Create a hidden sub-section called Sidebar (case sensitive) as a (child) of the page on which the Sidebar will live.
This section must be named Sidebar (case sensitive) and hidden from the navigation in order to work.
See below, the grey folder indicates it's hidden from the navigation:
2. Add the Thumbnail block content type to the hidden Sidebar section. (Find out how to add a content type to a section).
3. Fill in the form. There are five compulsory fields that that you need to complete, alonside two optional fields that allow you to turn the Thumnail block into a hyperlink. This is explained below:

|Image*||Choose an image for this column.
Minimum image size of 103 x 89 pixels
If you add an image you must add an 'Alt text' describing what is contained in the image. This is an accessibility requirement.

|Subheading*||Add a subheading for your Thumbnail block||Yes|
|Description*||Add a description that is up to 100 characters in length||Yes|

4. Select Add and Approve to save.
