Studying with a family
Balancing study commitments whilst raising a family can be challenging, but there is support available to help make it work for you.
Programmes of study offer flexibility with timings and arrangements, and there are options available such as taking a year out from your programme (an interruption of study), or studying part-time. The Student Support Fund is available to help students pay childcare costs. You can find more information about the financial support available on the Students with Children webpage.
If you need to talk about taking maternity or paternity leave, or seek more flexible arrangements, please talk to your Personal Tutor or Senior Tutor, Postgraduate Tutor, course director or academic supervisor.
