Library

Using the Library

Whether you are based at South Kensington or one of our other campuses, the Library Service is on hand to help you make the most of the resources.

All students are automatically registered with the Library. Your College ID card is your library card – use it to swipe into the library, borrow books and operate the printer-copiers.

If you have not received a College ID card, bring your student registration form (or ID from another college if part of your course is taught at Imperial) to the Welcome Desk in the Central Library or to your home campus library.

Using our IT system

Our Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) team provides all of the central IT systems across Imperial, and they provide a wide range of help to get you started on our IT system.

ICT's new students website has lots of information about activating your College account, setting up your email account, connecting to the campus Wi-Fi and using our virtual learning environment (Blackboard).

If you're having IT problems or you've got a question about using our IT systems, the ICT Service Desk is your first point of contact. It's located on the South Kensington Campus so you can contact them online or in person.

Support is also available in other locations for students not based at South Kensington.
