Library

Using the Library

Whether you are based at South Kensington or one of our other campuses, the Library Service is on hand to help you make the most of the resources.

You will be automatically registered with the Library and your college ID card works as your library card – use it to swipe into the library, borrow books and operate the printer-copiers.

Haven't received a College ID card? You can bring your student registration form to the Welcome Desk in the Central Library or to your home campus library. If only part of your course is taught at Imperial, you can bring your ID from the other college you study with.

Using our IT system

Our Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) team provide all of the central IT systems across Imperial. They offer a wide range of help to get you started on our IT system.

ICT's new students website has important information about activating your College account, setting up your email, connecting to the Wi-Fi and using our virtual learning environment (Blackboard).

If you're having IT problems or you've got a question about using our IT systems, the ICT Service Desk is your first point of contact. It's located on the South Kensington Campus so you can contact them online or in-person.

Support is available in other locations for students not based at South Kensington.
