All new students are required to complete the online registration process through our application system before term begins.
New students starting their studies at Imperial on 28 September 2019 will be able to register online from the start of September 2019.
New students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) will also need to register in person with the College.

How do I register?
All new students are required to complete the online registration process through our online application system.
In order to avoid queuing to have your ID card photo taken, please upload your photo on the Personal Details tab when registering online.
To access our online application system you first need to activate your account to get a username and password. Details on how to do this are sent out in an email from the College between May and July.
If you have not received this email and cannot access our online application system, please contact our Admissions team at email@example.com. Please remember to include your College Identifier (CID) or UCAS ID in the email.

How do I upload my passport and visa to the application system (international students only)?
If you are an international student who requires a visa to study at Imperial, you will be required to provide details of your up-to-date passport and visa as part of the registration process.
You will also be required to upload scanned copies of your passport and visa.
You will either need to upload your 30-day visa or your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP), depending on what you have been issued with.

I get an error message when I try to register – what should I do?
If you are an international student and you require a visa to study in the UK, please make sure you have uploaded a copy of your visa in the Passport/Visa page in the online application system.
If you have already done this, please be aware that we will need 2–3 working days to check your visa and clear you for registration.
Please be patient as we process your documents during this busy period, and only contact us if you continue to see an error three days after uploading your visa. If you still cannot register after three days, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org, making sure you include your CID number.

Home and EU students
If you are a Home or EU student and you receive an error message when trying to register please contact email@example.com, making sure you include your CID number or UCAS ID.
How will my data be used?
As part of our data monitoring process we collect information on the following protected characteristics:
- Sexual Orientation
- Gender Identity
The information we hold about you will be sent to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) as part of your HESA record. For more information about HESA Student Data Collection please see our HESA Collection Notices page.
We may also use your information to carry out statistical analysis as part of our internal monitoring processes.
You will be asked to complete the protected characteristics information when registering online for your course.
