I didn’t initially apply to university as I didn’t want to give up work on my YouTube channel ‘A Level Scientist’, which I set up during A-levels to make science more accessible.

My uncle helped me realise how university would benefit my passion for science and persuaded me to apply.

At my interview, the panel were really interested in my YouTube project and told me about all the support available here for entrepreneurs – this was a huge factor in my decision to study here and I haven’t regretted it.

Since joining Imperial, I’ve attended ideas surgeries at the Enterprise Lab and spoken with an expert Growth Hacker who’s given me lots of useful advice on developing a strategy to turn my YouTube hobby into a business, which I am looking forward to putting into action over the next few months.
