|Directions||At Notting Hill station, take station exit 3 or 4. At the top of the steps, look for a yellow bookshop. This is the corner of Pembridge Gardens. Walk along this road and you'll find the hall on the left hand side.|
Unfortunately, we do not offer parking. Please note that central London issues a Congestion Charge for driving a vehicle within the charging zone between 07:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday. The Congestion Charge is an £11.50 daily charge. To find out more and how to pay please visit the Transport For London (TFL) website.
Pembridge Gardens is located in Notting Hill, a popular area in West London, famous for its carnival, markets and Richard Curtis' 1999 hit film Notting Hill amongst many other things.
Full of quirky shops, antiques, and colourful houses, Portobello Road is great to explore at any time. If you are looking to visit the world famous Portobello market that takes over the whole road (and is almost 1km long!) then Friday and Saturday are the main market days, where you will find all the a huge variety of food, clothing and antique market stalls. The perfect place to buy a unique souvenir.
Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park
Kensington Gardens is a 5 minute walk away from the hall. Here you will find the Diana Memorial Fountain, and the playground complete with pirate ship! If you keep walking east through the gardens you will eventually merge into Hyde Park where you will find the Serpentine Gallery and the Serpentine Lido, where on a hot day, keen swimmers bathe alongside the ducks.
The Notting Hill Carnival
Europe's biggest street festival takes place every August Bank holiday. With a Caribbean theme, Notting Hill Carnival brings colourful fun to West London. A huge parade of floats and performers runs along the Notting Hill Carnival route, filling the streets with intricate costumes, steel bands, marching bands, Calypso music and a variety of mouth-watering food.
