The six-month pilot, which will begin in September 2018, has been co-designed by local women in order to best fit their needs. It will initially support 16 women between the ages of 18 and 64 from the north of the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

The Programme has been designed to combine skills development with personal reflection and growth, in order to encourage the formation of an enduring learning set and an ongoing network. The sessions are based on the exploration of three critical factors:

  • the participant’s own knowledge, skills and aspirations;
  • the environments and structures that influence or dictate the choices women can make;
  • the relationships through which women negotiate their lives.

Over six sessions, the Programme will cover different aspects of leadership and professional development. Topics that will be covered at the monthly sessions will include:

  • Leadership
  • Communication
  • Confidence
  • Project management and making things happen
  • Change management
  • Coaching
  • Unconcious bias
  • Action planning and the future

Sessions will take place in a variety of venues around the Borough. They will be coordinated by a facilitator and will include a trainer and an inspirational guest speaker.

Participants, along with their friends and families, will be invited to attend the Programme's Graduation Ceremony in March 2019.
