A network of innovators
Imperial has a long and successful history of partnership and collaboration with industry. We work with more than 500 corporate partners to translate research into practical commercial applications that benefit society.
At White City, we’re now bringing academia and business together on an unprecedented scale. We’re creating a network of innovation spaces for businesses of all sizes – major corporations, high-tech and high-growth companies, SMEs, startups and entrepreneurs – to work alongside Imperial at every stage of their development and growth.
A network of innovation spaces
The Translation and Innovation Hub (I-HUB) provides space for companies of all sizes to work alongside Imperial researchers and turn scientific and technological innovations into new products and services. Its facilities support start-ups and fast-growth alongside established scientific research organisations.
Imperial White City Incubator
A state-of-the-art facility based within the I-HUB which offers office, laboratory space and support for early-stage deep-science and technology companies. Companies currently based here include Polymateria, CustoMem and RebelBio, the world's first life sciences accelerator.
The Imperial White City Incubator is a space dedicated to small, early-stage technology businesses. The Incubator provides tenants with state-of-the-art facilities, training, support, and access to professional networks in order to help them grow and become established businesses.

Imperial’s Advanced Hackspace provides extensive prototyping equipment for the College’s community of makers, hackers, inventors, entrepreneurs and business collaborators.

Imperial for business
At Imperial College London, we collaborate with industry on multi-disciplinary research, and offer businesses access to our talent, expertise, resources and spaces, to help your organisation innovate and benefit society.
Imperial is working in partnership with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham (LBHF) on the joint venture Upstream, which will look after existing businesses, support startups and scale ups and attract new businesses to the borough, with a focus on the biotech, digital and creative industries.
By supporting innovation, collaboration and business growth, Upstream will fuse Imperial’s capabilities as a leading research university with the skills, talents and expertise of the local community, helping to transform White City into a world-leading innovation district.
