• Strengthening academic direction and leadership through support for endowed academic chairs in priority research areas;
• Supporting new research centres in healthcare, energy, sustainability, imaging and sensing, materials and molecular engineering and manufacturing;
• Attracting world-class talent through support for early career research fellowships that bridge the gap between doctorate and a first academic appointment;
• Increasing research capacity by supporting postgraduate studentships.

Foster engagement and creativity in chemistry through:

• Supporting an engagement hub where scientists, government, entrepreneurs and industry can collaborate;
• Sponsoring spaces for innovation, creativity and technology development, including the ChemFab prototyping workshop and a public exhibition space;
• Creating a new innovation bursary fund to help students commercialise their projects;
• Supporting a programme of outreach activities to engage with local communities and schools.

• Leadership-level giving in support of major development and configuration works;
• Equipping and configuring modern teaching and research laboratories;
