Korean language courses are one of the most popular language classes taken by evening class learners. 

The reason why Korean is a popular language to learn on the evening classes at Imperial College London depends on who you are and on your motivation. You might be planning to visit Japan on holiday, or to settle in the country or do business with the Korean-speaking world. Or maybe you are just fascinated by Korean history and culture.

Whatever your reason for studying Korean, you will be joining a global commmunity of Korean language speakers, as the language is spoken as the first language by around 80 million people around the world.

Whether you are a beginner in learning Korean, or you have some experience of speaking the language, the part-time Korean courses we offer at Imperial College, including beginner Korean classes for adults and more advanced classes for those with some experience of speaking Korean, are designed to help you develop your language skills quickly and effectively.

The courses are taught in the evening, making them ideal as Korean language courses for working professionals, but students on the Korean language evening class come from many different backgrounds, from students and lecturers, to working people and retired people, as everyone is welcome.

The Imperial College Korean language programme is designed to help you get the most from the experience of learning a language, in a friendly and supportive environment. Classes are taught by expert Korean language tutors who have a great deal of experience delivering Korean language courses for evening students, and they are the same tutors who deliver Korean language courses to students on the highly regarded undergraduate programme at Imperial College London.

In 2023 our adult education students rated our adult education courses as "excellent" with an overall score of 4.6 out of 5 in the student satisfaction survey.
