Russian courses are popular language classes taken by adult evening class learners. The reasons for this depend on who you are and on your motivation. You might be planning to visit Russia, or the countries of eastern Europe and central Asia where Russian is spoken, or maybe you are just fascinated by Russian culture.

Whatever your reason for studying Russian, you will be joining a global commmunity of Russian language speakers, as the language is spoken by an estimated 260 million people around the world.

Whether you are a beginner in learning Russian, or you already have some experience of speaking the language, the part-time Russian course we offer at Imperial College is a beginner's course designed to help you develop your language skills quickly and effectively.

The course is taught in the evening, making it ideal as a Russian language course for working professionals, but students on the Russian language evening class come from many different backgrounds, from students and lecturers, to working people and retirees, as everyone is welcome.

The Imperial College Russian language programme is designed to help you get the most from the experience of learning a language, in a friendly and supportive environment. Classes are taught by expert Russian language tutors who have a great deal of experience delivering Russian language courses for evening students, and they are the same tutors who deliver Russian language courses to students on the highly regarded undergraduate programme at Imperial College London.

In 2023 our adult education students rated our adult education courses as "excellent" with an overall score of 4.6 out of 5 in the student satisfaction survey.
