Priority space booking
During the COVID-19 pandemic students are only permitted to be on campus for teaching and otherwise are not expected to remain on campus for long periods of time to study.
For some students, it may not be possible to maintain the level of study required by their programme within their home environments.
If you are unable to work for long periods remotely, due to difficulties with your home environment, please contact your department in the first instance. Your department will support you to find alternative bookable study space in the department, the Seminar and Learning Centre in the Sherfield Building (SALC) or in our libraries.
If you have been approved to use dedicated priority study space please pre-book your space via the link below.
Please ensure that you also complete the contact tracing details required for every visit to our study spaces.
Priority study spaces
Priority study space at Central Library
The following priority study spaces are available for pre-booking at the Central Library.
These spaces may be booked by students designated as priority users.
Priority users may ask another student to give up their seat if they can demonstrate that they have a booking.

- Wolfson Suite - 6 desks with PCs (desk numbers 1020, 1021, 1022, 1023, 1029, 1030)
- 6 desks (desk numbers 2038, 2040, 2042, 2044, 2046, 2048)
- Room 314 - 6 desks with PCs (desk numbers 314-2, 314-4, 314-5, 314-7, 314-9, 314-11)
- 6 desks (desk numbers 4016, 4018, 4020, 4023, 4025, 4027)
Priority study space at Charing Cross Campus Library
If you are a student designated as a priority study space user and have a special requirement to study at the Charing Cross Campus Library you may book Room 203.

How to book a priority study space
To book a priority study space you must be a designated priority user as agreed with your department.
When you have been approved as a priority user your details will be passed to Library Services and added to our systems. You will then be able to book priority study spaces using Library bookings.
To make a booking
Sign in to Library bookings using your College username and password.
From the menu at the top of the screen choose Book by category.
To book a space at Central Library click on Book a priority study space.
To book a space at the Charing Cross Campus Library click on Book a CX priority study space.
You will be offered a list of study spaces to choose from. Click on Create booking to book your slot. You will need to enter the start and end times of your booking. If you decide not to visit the Library at the time you have booked please remember to delete or amend your booking to make space for others.
