Fitness to Practise Medicine

The College offers several programmes of study that leads to the degree of MBBS which qualifies graduates for provisional registration as doctors. The College has a duty to ensure that its medical graduates meet the high standards laid down by the General Medical Council and are fit to practise medicine. Concerns that a student may be unfit to practise medicine may be the result of misconduct or unprofessional behaviour by the student or because of concerns about their health. A concern that a student may be unfit to practise will be considered under the College’s Procedure for the Assessment of Fitness to Practise Medicine.
