Terms of Reference
The Council's Terms of Reference include responsibility for the finance, property, investments and general business of the College, and for setting its general strategic direction.
The Council may delegate any of its functions, powers and duties (other than its power to make Ordinances) to committees. It has a number of sub-committees.
Council currently has 23 Members. The majority of Council members are lay members, including the Chairman and Deputy Chairman. Also included in its membership are representatives of the staff of the College and of the student body.
None of the lay members receive any payment, apart from the reimbursement of expenses, for the work they do for the College.
