Grenfell Tower fire

Our thoughts are with those affected by the fire at Grenfell Tower. The residents are our neighbours and community. We are deeply saddened by the incident.

We are working with local councillors and the community to provide support, including accommodation.

We are very grateful to staff, students and neighbours who provided clothing, bedding and other essentials, as well as their time, immediately after the incident. The response from donors and volunteers has been outstanding. We are working with volunteers to distribute supplies to those in need.

Please do not bring further clothing and bedding to our collection points. Local respite centres have enough supplies at present. However, we are monitoring the situation closely, and will send out further updates if there is a need for more.

We will continue to work with our neighbours, the affected community and local authorities to provide further support.

The Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has a dedicated website with information on the incident and emergency contacts.

The Evening Standard and the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation are raising funds for those affected.

The A40 Westway has reopened. See the Transport for London site for travel updates.

Public Health England has also issued public health information.
