College ICT are monitoring the spread of a ransomware strain targeting companies around the world. 

Imperial's IT systems are currently unaffected. However, we do ask all users to:

• Be wary of suspicious or unsolicited links and attachments in emails - contact ICT security before opening if in any doubt
• Log onto machines using standard (not local administrative) accounts where possible
