Where is the Alumni Visitor Centre located?

The Centre is located at the main entrance of the South Kensington Campus on Exhibition Road, next to the College Café. You can find us on the South Kensington Campus map.

Is there step-free access to the Alumni Visitor Centre?

Yes, the Centre is fully accessible via Dalby Court through the College Café. However, please check our main page for any temporary updates regarding step-free access. If you have specific access requirements, please let us know in advance.

Is there a lost and found at the Alumni Visitor Centre?

In line with Imperial’s Lost & Found policy, high-value items such as phones and laptops left at the Alumni Visitor Centre will be held at the Centre until 16.45 and handed over to Security at the Sherfield Building (Room 108) at 17.00 on the same day.

Lower-value items – including clothing, umbrellas and books – will be kept at the Centre until 16.45 on the last working day of the week (usually Friday), and passed to Security at 17.00.

Can the Centre grant me access to the multi-faith prayer rooms at the Chaplaincy?

The Centre does not manage access to the multi-faith prayer rooms. Access is coordinated by the Chaplaincy and is primarily intended for current students and staff.

Alumni may be considered for limited access in specific circumstances.

  • If you require access to a prayer space, you can contact the Chaplaincy directly.

  • If you would like to use the Muslim Prayer Room, access must be requested through both the Islamic Society and the Chaplaincy.

Do I need to book before visiting the Alumni Visitor Centre?

Booking is not required – alumni are welcome to visit any time during opening hours.

Can I bring guests with me?

Yes. Alumni are permitted to bring up to two guests per visit, no more than once a week. If using the meeting room, a maximum of five guests is allowed. Guests must be accompanied throughout their visit. 

Who can access the Alumni Visitor Centre?

The Centre is exclusively available to visiting Imperial alumni and their guests, specifically alumni who are not current staff members or students.

What facilities are available at the Alumni Visitor Centre?

The Centre offers a comfortable space for alumni to relax, work, or meet others. Facilities include: 

  • A meeting room (bookable for up to six people) 
  • Free Wi-Fi 
  • Refreshments 
  • A small ‘take one, leave one’ library 
  • Left luggage storage 
  • Two computer terminals 
How do I book the meeting room?

Can I book the Centre for an event?

Yes, the Centre can be booked for alumni-related events from 17:00 – 21:30. Please email alumnicentre@imperial.ac.uk for more information.
