On Huxley's objection to the use of woodcuts prepared for Huxley in Gray's Catalogue of Monkeys, etc, granted by the Council of the Zoological Society
[The Council of the Zoological Society allowed J E Gray the use of certain woodcuts in his Cat Monkeys, Lemurs and Fruit-eating Bats (British Museum, 1870). These had been made for papers by Huxley. It is difficult to see what Huxley's objections were, as Gray acknowledged their source, and attached Huxley's name to them. (Op cit figs 2, 1611, 18-20]
