Dr Charles Donovan

Director of the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment

Dr Charles Donovan is the Director of the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment at Imperial College Business School.

He began his career as an Energy Policy Analyst with the US Environmental Protection Agency during the Clinton Administration, and subsequently worked in principal investments at the Enron Corporation. He was most recently Head of Structuring and Valuation for Alternative Energy at BP plc, where he managed a team responsible for analysis and financing of large renewable energy projects in North America, Europe and Asia.

Charles is the editor and co-author of Renewable Energy Finance: Powering the Future, published by Imperial College Press in September 2015. He is also active in Executive Education at the Business School.
