I’m applying for an MBA or MSc programme; how can I connect with Imperial College Business School? Which recruitment event should I attend? Would it be beneficial for me to join a webinar? Can I chat to current students?

Engaging with staff, current or former students can provide you with detailed insight into what studying an MBA or MSc programme at Imperial College Business School might be like. Connecting with us in one way or another will also highlight your motivation and enthusiasm to study your chosen programme – always something we like to see! We offer many opportunities for you to form connections with us, both face-to-face and online. Which way is right for you?  We’ve put together this blog to help!

Recruitment events and webinars On-campus Information Session

1. Come and say ‘hello’ at a recruitment event

We attend a number of postgraduate study fairs throughout the year across multiple locations, giving you a great opportunity to meet with representatives from the Business School across the globe.

We also hold information sessions both on-campus and internationally; these sessions give you the opportunity to speak with faculty, current students and alumni, whilst learning more about our programmes.

In addition to these larger scale events, we regularly hold MSc drop-in sessions at our South Kensington Campus where you can speak with our Recruitment team about your application or life at Imperial.

For MBA programmes, we periodically hold Fast Track Admissions Days on campus. These days allow you to have your admissions interview and accelerate your application if you are successful on the day. Please note: you will need to apply for these days in advance via our website as places are extremely limited.

2. Ask a Student Ambassador

Who better to talk to about studying our programmes than those currently studying them? Our helpful Student Ambassadors are available to answer any questions you may have about what it’s like to study our programmes and give insight into life as a student at Imperial College Business School. You can chat to our Student Ambassadors via the Unibuddy platform on our website. We have ambassadors for both our MSc and MBA programmes.

3. Join us for a chat over coffee

Whilst travelling around the globe, members of our Recruitment team often hold exclusive IB Coffee Chats with those who are interested in pursuing an MSc or MBA degree at Imperial College Business School. If you'd like to discuss how our programmes can benefit you and boost your career, please complete the online form and select where you'd like to meet us. Once you have done this, we will be in touch to let you know if you have been selected and confirm your time slot, and where to meet us.

4. Network with our alumni

Our past students are the best placed people to talk to about where an MSc or MBA programme at Imperial College Business School could take you career-wise. We hold multiple alumni networking opportunities around the world and in the UK, including Alumni Showcase events. Look out for the word ‘networking’ in our events as this is usually indicative of alumni attending!

5. Link up with us online for a webinar

We also deliver information sessions online in the form of webinars. During webinars, we provide information and advice on a range of topics including the application process, how to apply for a visa and accommodation options in London. In addition, we also hold programme-specific webinars, primarily delivered by Programme Directors, who will be leading your potential programmes – these webinars provide much more detail on the content of programmes. For a full list of our upcoming webinars and details of how to register for these, click here.

We hope you found the above information helpful. Don’t worry, you don’t need to connect with us in all the different ways we’ve cited above; however, you may find it helpful to engage with us in one or two of these ways. If you do decide to, we hope to connect with you soon!
