The Imperial Women’s Network chose their first networking breakfast event (Friday 17 June) to launch the search for a fifth member.

The four founding alumni announced that they are looking for a new committee member to join their ranks – ideally an alumnus from Imperial College (male or female) to engage with the wider alumni community and ensure the continuing success of the network. Think you’ve got what it takes to join these inspiring, successful women? Then get in touch:

The informal breakfast also provided a great opportunity for the women to chat about
ideas for future events, the format of the network and outcomes from the last meeting. They were also able to discuss issues such as changing career, returning to work after maternity leave and how to share peer-to-peer knowledge on specialist subjects.

It was a fantastic event, with lots of new faces from diverse personal and business backgrounds and lots of interesting conversations. We are looking forward welcoming a new member to the group, who can help us connect with the Imperial College alumni network. We are excited about planning a calendar of events, including more informal networking as well as guest speaker events – so watch this space!

Imperial College Business School

The Imperial Women’s Network provides a space for peer-to-peer professional and personal networking and support for female alumni and male ‘agents of change’ from both Imperial College and the Business School.

Are you interested in establishing a new professional interest network? The Business School already supports several networks, which are facilitated by alumni, in hosting professional development events. Through reaching out to your alumni and personal networks, these events can offer an excellent chance to build your personal connections as well as furthering your professional business knowledge in a particular field. Take a look at the networks already established at the School for more information, or contact us if you would like to find out how you can start your own.
