Looking back to a few weeks ago when exams were OVER!!!

After the intensive study for 2 weeks, we were FREE finally!!!

And, of course, that was the time to plan for our ‘belated’ Christmas break. If, when you are at Imperial, you don’t go back home for the holiday (like me), it will be a good chance to explore London when it comes to the biggest festival in the year. Let me tell you some of my favourites:

1. Christmas Carol Concerts
Want to get into the seasonal spirit? Joining the gran affairs is undoubtedly your first choice. These events will be held in some majestic venues like St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey, which will definitely amaze you.

2. Outdoor Ice Skating
Okay, it may be normal to most of my European classmates, but it is literally cool to a guy from Hong Kong. During Christmas, you can find outdoor ice rink easily around London. To me, the coolest one is surely located in South Kensington with the backdrop of one the most iconic building in London – Natural History Museum.

3. Winter Wonderland
Just DON’T miss it. It is located in Hyde Park which is just next to Imperial! There is food, drinks, ice rinks, circuses, an observation wheel, you name it! Trust me, you will definitely regret if you miss it.

But before I attended these, students in my programme chilled out and had a formal end-of-exams closing ceremony (a.k.a. party)!

Wish you all a belated Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Andy is studying our MSc Risk Management & Financial Engineering programme.
