The IB-HEC International Networking Day aimed to provide an opportunity for students from both institutions to network with each other and expand their international professional network. The students were able to reflect upon their shared education experiences and plans for their future careers.
MSc Management Programme Director Paolo Taticchi said of the day: ‘It was a terrific event, bringing together some of the best Management students in the world. HEC Paris is a great Partner and we look forward to developing further collaborations with them.’
The programme of the day centred around innovation and entrepreneurship with a local focus. Paolo Taticchi introduced the day, along with Associate Dean of Programmes Diane Morgan, before Professor David Gann CBE, Imperial College’s Vice President of Development and Innovation, delivered a presentation on ‘New Patterns of Innovation’.
Professors Erkko Autio and Markus Perkmann gave presentations on Managing Innovation Ecosystems and Digital Innovation respectively, before a panel discussion took place on the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem. The panel featured senior business leaders and researchers in the innovation and start-up space, as introduced by the Dean of the Business School, Professor G ‘Anand’ Anandalingam.
The networking day was arranged in support of the Business School’s strategic objective to enhance international experience for our students. HEC is one of our partner universities and our own MSc Management students will be visiting HEC in May for a two-day networking trip.
