Imperial College Business School, in partnership with Smart Cities New York, recently hosted London Smart Cities Town Hall: Citizen Inspired Innovation. A community platform for local communities to learn more and actively participate with Smart Cities in London and around the globe.
Alongside leading experts from London and New York, industry innovators, community leaders and global entrepreneurs gathered for the event to discuss pioneering urban solutions that are defining and transforming cities around the world and creating smarter and more resilient urban environments.
Welcomed by Dr Paolo Taticchi, Director of Global Initiatives at Imperial College Business School, attendees were treated to an industry panel discussion and presentations from leading industry experts, including Raj Pannu from Emergence Creative, specialising in behaviour change for application in the public sphere and Tom McTague, Chief UK political correspondent at POLITICO.
The panel and audience actively discussed and debated topics such as citizen inspired innovation and explored the Smart Cities initiative, harnessing technology to improve infrastructure and business partnerships. The evening concluded with refreshments as the diverse group networked and debriefed the breakthrough discussion of the evening.
