Professor Marcin Kacperczyk received his PhD from the University of Michigan. His research has previously been published in Econometrica, Journal of Finance, and Quarterly Journal of Economics.
As a recent recipient of a European Research Council (ERC) grant, his future research will examine how information flow is related to market structure in order to understand the mechanisms that drive economic decisions. Specifically, the project will use the contexts of illegal insider trading and household finance to lay out the micro foundations for informed trading in investment and corporate settings.
His research primarily investigates the impact of private information on financial markets.
