Joël McConnell is joined by Imperial MSc Finance Alumnus Louis-Simon Hubert for exclusive insights into the Finance industry and how to tackle the job market when targeting Finance industry roles. Louis-Simon will share his personal journey on the MSc Finance programme and how it led him to his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley.

Louis-Simon Hubert is an Investment banking professional at Morgan Stanley with experience in both buy-side and sell-side M&As as well as in project finance advisory within the power and utility sector (focusing majorly on renewable technology). Louis-Simon started his career in corporate finance after receiving his MSc Finance degree from Imperial College Business School in 2015.

Joël McConnell is the Executive Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions at Imperial College Business School, having recently relocated to London after being based in Madrid for the better part of 12 years.

A lifelong learner himself, he’s completed top level studies at leading training centres in Europe and the US, and holds not only an MBA, but also a Master in Finance and a postgraduate diploma from Oxford where his research focused on the future of global business education, seen through the lens of scenario planning. His industry background also includes international experience in pharmaceuticals, technology and financial services, a previous board position at a global technology standards organization, and he is originally from Vancouver, Canada.
