This conference is organised by Patrick Bolton, Oliver Hart, Paul Grout, Maija Halonen- Akatwijuka and Renáta Kosová in conjunction with the Brevan Howard Centre for Financial Analysis, Imperial College London. It will be held in London at Imperial College Business School (LGR), held over two days on the Thursday 30th June to the Friday 1st July 2022, both in-person and online.

The early research on contract theory was concerned with general foundational ideas. Now the time has come for more applied, specialized, and empirical research.  We would like to build a platform for research into contracts that can speak to the real world. This conference was born from this idea and to use as a starting point for continued discussion and collaboration.

The conference will begin with the Keynote lecture from Oliver Hart and continue with talks and paper presentations on various issues around contracts.  The panel discussion at the end should bring additional insights on "Contracts: Practical experiences & challenges; Current research and Implications for future work" .
