Sequential Simulation

About

In partnership with the Imperial College Centre for Engagement and Simulation Science, the sequential simulation allows delegates to examine, and learn from, a scenario that would otherwise be unknown to them. Developed by Professor Roger Kneebone, Professor of Surgical Education and Engagement Science, the simulation is not only a tool for experimentation, but a tool for analysing a problem from the perspective of different stakeholders.

The simulation demonstrates the power of a story; its value lies in making things visible. It’s a metaphor for any customer pathway, team interaction, communication or service delivery and allows delegates to view exactly when or where information could get misinterpreted within a chain of events. Discussions following the simulation often highlight the importance of communication, of decisive leadership under pressure, and the power of empathy to our participants.
