Get ahead at assessment centres
Assessment centres are used to filter out candidates in the recruitment process and also to give companies more of an insight in to how a candidate works with others. They are run as a collection of activities over the period of a half or full day and give company staff the opportunity to have contact with candidates that a normal interview format would not allow. They either take place within the company premises or in a nearby hotel.
Activities usually consist of a test, a case study, presentations, group activities and interviews. You may be provided with lunch or refreshment breaks, but do not let your guard down! Assessors will be watching you during this too to see how you socialise with others and conduct yourself.
