Imperial part-time MBA programmes can now be funded via the apprenticeship levy
Both programmes have been mapped to the Level 7 Senior Leaders Master’s Degree standard, meaning that up to £18,000 of levy funding can be used to contribute towards their cost.
What is the apprenticeship levy?
From 6 April 2017, UK businesses with a pay bill over £3 million each year began paying the apprenticeship levy. The levy rate is 0.5% of an employer’s annual pay bill and businesses receive a £15,000 allowance to offset against their payment. This money can then be used to fund apprenticeship training for new or existing staff.
Full details on the levy and eligibility can be found on the Government’s website.
I am an employer/employee – what benefits will I get from this?
The apprenticeship levy is a fantastic opportunity for employers to upskill their workforce and for their employees to gain an internationally recognised MBA from a top institution at a discounted rate. Employees will be able to apply their learning immediately as they progress through our programmes whilst still in full-time employment.
Students accessing the programme via this route will be supported by the Chartered Management Institute throughout the period of their study, and receive the additional award of Chartered Manager status alongside their MBA.
How do I get involved?
If you are looking to transform your people in order to transform your business and would like to discuss how our apprenticeship levy programmes can support you in this goal, we’d be delighted to hear from you. We can work with employers to:
– discuss the key strategic issues for your business, so that our programmes can best address your learner’s skill development needs
– help you to identify key employees with the skills and experience to join our programmes
– discuss time-management and the commitment required to our programmes, and how managers can support their learners throughout the programme
– provide advice and guidance on the admissions process
